What is the Collective Mind Map?

Inspired by the feedback that we have received from members, the Collective Mind Map is a visual mapping of the Future Mental Health Collective. By showing how and where Collective members are positioned within mental health, this tool aims to empower funders to make sense of the field, foster a global sense of community – in what can otherwise be a lonely sector – and to, most importantly, inspire radical collaboration.

What are its’ main functions and what can I use it for?

The Mind Map was developed with you – our Collective members – in mind with the hope that it can add value to the incredible work that you are already doing. You can use it to:

  • Search for and connect with like-minded funders.

  • Search for and connect with funders already active in an area that you are interested in learning more about.

  • Identify potential areas of overlap and opportunities for collaboration.

  • Identify where the main gaps are.

  • Identify where we are most adding value as a group.

  • Understand how our work overlaps with the SDGs.

Where does the information come from?

The data that has been mapped out comes from publicly available information.

How can I add or update my information?

If the information on the Mind Map does not seem accurate to you, or if you would like to add/update it, please email collective@kokorochange.com

How often is information updated?

The information is updated on an on-going basis and every time a new member joins, they will also be added to the mapping. If you have any updates that you would like to be reflected in the mapping, please email collective@kokorochange.com.

Why have the SDGs been included?

Mental health is not a single issue; it is both cause and symptom of many other social issues. By looking at 12 of the 17 SDGs and how they fit into our work as a Collective we can see where the gaps are and the potential that comes from integrating a mental health component into other areas of development.

How can I access the Collective Mind Map and who else has access to it?

Access to the Mind Map is provided through a unique URL, which the Collective team will only share with Collective members. Collective members are kindly asked to not share this URL.

How can I connect with another member?

If you are interested in connecting with another member please click on ‘request to be connected’ in their member profile or email collective@kokorochange.com with your specific, ask so that the team can facilitate an introduction.

I need help navigating the platform – who can I contact?

We have tried to make the platform as user-friendly as possible by including information icons which, when you hover over them, should provide you with more details. However, if you cannot find what you are looking for or have more questions, please email collective@kokorochange.com
